Facts about Cats

1. Did you know, cats (Felis catus silvestrid-), particularly house cats are one of the most powerful predators in the world. Cats are capable of killing and / or take several thousand species, beat the big cats (like lions, tigers, and the like) are only able to eat less than 100 species. However, because the relatively small size, it is not harmful to humans . But still very dangerous if the cat is infected with rabies.

4. Cats typically weigh between 2.5 to 7 pounds and rarely exceed 10 kg, unless the excess is fed, the pussy can reach 23 kg body weight. In captivity, cats can live for 15 to 20 years, where the oldest cat ever known 36-year-old! Wild cats that live in the modern urban environment can only live for 2 years or even less than that.
5. Cats, including animals that are very clean. They often take care of them selves by licking their hair. Saliva or saliva they are strong cleaning agents. but can trigger allergies in humans.Some times a kind of cat vomit hairball or roll of hair that collects in the stomach. Meanwhile, a cat can save energy by sleeping more often than other animals. Old cats sleep varies between 12-16 hours per day, with an average 13-14 hours. But it is not rare cat who slept for 20 hours in one day!
6. Believe it or not, in the middle ages cats are considered associated with witches and are often killed by fire and thrown from a high place. Some historians believe that the epidemic of Black Death or bubonic plague spread quickly in Europe during the 14th century was due to superstition. This is because the number of murders committed cat thereby increasing the population of mice that carry the bubonic plague.
