Mystery Stegosaurus carving at the Temple of Cambodia

Puzzle Kriptozologi may arise from the most unexpected places. This time it is a country of Cambodia. One of the most famous sites in the region is the forest temple of Ta Prohmwas built around 800 years ago. Like the other monuments originating from the same period, the monument is also filled with carvings of Buddha and Hindu mythology breath. But there is a carving that confuse the archaeologists. Close to exit the temple, found an engraving of small-headed creatures, four legged and bring the diamond-shaped fin on his back. The image resembles a Stegosaurus!


Ta Prohm is a temple built by Khmer civilization around the year 1181 AD. The temple was rediscovered in the 16th century by Catholic missionaries and Portuguese explorers.
For information, Stegosaurus is a creature unknown before 1877. Othniel Charles Marsh who discovered the bones of the creature named "Stegosaurus" on the creature.Meaning of the name itself is a lizard roof. Marsh thought that the fins on his back like tiles on a roof.
Animal carving is so popular among tour guide who often ask the tourists if they believe the dinosaur was still alive 800 years ago. Then they will show these pictures to the tourists. Is it possible that carving a modern hoax designed to fool the tourists? or carving it's really an ancient artifacts like the others? Could the founders of the temple was never seen fossils of Stegosaurus, or even ever come across these creatures alive?
Some people have tried to reject the theory that the carving is Stegosaurus. They put forward the theory that the carvings that were carved on a Rhino with ornaments on the edge of the circle so Stegosaurus effect.
But I have a theory of his own. I contend that it is true carving a Stegosaurus. Here's why:
First, I compare it with carving carving Stegosaurus other animals in the temple. I found many other animal carvings in the temple does not have ornaments in the circle. As the picture below:
Later, I found the carvings of animals that have ornaments like Stegosaurus dorsal fin.However, all the ornaments that have something in common, that is carved OUTDOOR CIRCLE. None of which have carved ornaments IN CIRCLE (Engraving Stegosaurus have also ornaments outside the circle). See this dibawha picture.
When the fin is an ornament, why only "Rhino", which has ornamental IN RING? The answer is clear! That is not an ornament.
So I conclude that these carvings are really carving Stegosaurus. But there is the possibility of carving was added after 1877 by the hands of ignorant than someone who is going to confuse other people. This happened at the Cathedral of Salamanca in Spain that was built in 1102. On the walls of 900-year-old cathedral were found carving a person with a full astronaut suit. This sparked a lengthy discussion on the internet. Only a few know that the carving was actually added in 1992 when the restored Cathedral. It could be the same thing happened in the temple of Ta Prohm. But until now there is no information that the addition of carving was never done.

Or maybe ..... Stegosaurus was never loose in Cambodia 800 years ago.
